Endometriosis is a chronic, systemic disease where tissue similar to the lining of the uterus grows outside the womb. This isn't just "a bad period"—it’s a condition where this misplaced tissue acts like it’s in the uterus: thickening, breaking down, and bleeding with every cycle. But because this blood has no way to exit the body, it becomes trapped, leading to chronic inflammation, scarring, and debilitating pain.
It affects roughly 1 in 10 women —meaning you almost certainly know someone living with it, even if they haven't shared their struggle.
Despite affecting roughly 200 million people worldwide, endometriosis remains significantly underfunded and misunderstood. Here is why your support for research is vital:
The Diagnostic Gap: On average, it takes 7 to 10 years to receive a correct diagnosis. Research into non-invasive diagnostic tools (like blood tests or imaging) could save millions from years of unnecessary suffering.
Limited Treatment Options: Currently, there is no cure. Treatments are often limited to hormonal suppression or repeated surgeries, which may only provide temporary relief. We need research to find targeted, long-term therapies.
Economic & Personal Impact: Beyond physical pain, the condition is a leading cause of infertility and costs the global economy billions in lost productivity.
Validation: For decades, patients have been told their symptoms are "normal." Supporting research validates their experience and helps dismantle the gender health gap.
By advocating for more funding and awareness, we move closer to a world where "living with endo" doesn't mean living in the dark.
We are using this store to raise money to donate to the Endometriosis Foundation of America to go towards more reasearch. All procedes will go to the foundation.
